(Milwaukee) Yellow Hill Investments LLC, a production company formed by International film star Bai Ling (Red Corner, Petty Cash), resident Milwaukee filmmakers Glen Popple (99 Bottles, Petty Cash) and Ross Bigley (Disembodied, Petty Cash), the president on the board of directors for the Milwaukee Independent Film Society, and Stormynight, a Chicago based multi-media production company founded by Cyn Dulay (Holiday Baggage, Stork, Petty Cash) & Robert Parsons (President) will partner to co-produce the short film, Yellow Hill: The Stranger's Tale. Dulay and Parsons will serve as Executive Producers and co-writers.

The short film, “Yellow Hill: The Stranger's Tale” that introduces Bai Ling's character is set to begin shooting in South Dakota on May 18th, provided the rest of funding is in place. The film is a Chinese western set during the gold rush era of the 1860's. Things are going along well but we still need help raising funds to make this happen.

Half our budget is covered by Stormynight and we've started a crowdfunding page on Indie Go Go to match StormyNight's funding. http://www.indiegogo.com/YellowHill?c=home This is a production that will use the best Midwest talent from Milwaukee and Chicago and will be headed up with Hollywood actress Bai Ling who also serves as producer. Any assistance in getting the word out on our crowdfunding page , or our fundraiser on April 24th , would be greatly appreciated.

Yellow Hill Synopsis:

The 1860's, Chinese immigrants pan for gold up on Yellow Hill, but they have to contend with a corrupt Mayor and his gang of vicious lackeys. Enter The Stranger (Bai Ling), who is no longer accepted by her fellow immigrants but will fight to save them. Also, who is the mysterious Cowboy who shared a secret relationship with her. Will he fight along side her, or against her.

The short film is an introduction to Bai Ling's character as she searchers for her father. And the short is to gain attention for the feature. Both are a homage to the films of Sergio Leone, but with a modern twist.
