Look At Me Films has announced their latest project, the horror film, THE HIGHLANDS.

THE HIGHLANDS is the type of “toy with your senses “ horror film that you didn’t know you were missing.

Two couples on their way to Joshua Tree to spread a loved one’s ashes, encounter way more than they bargained for. This story shines a bright light on how our own dysfunctions, when unchecked can lead to the utmost terror.

The film is to be directed by Kody Zimmermann who’s predominately known for his award winning short film THE FAMILIAR, which was recognized at 47 film festivals including SCREAMFEST.

Look At Me Films is the production partnership of Megan Freels and Melanie Donkers (also Director of Development at FilmColony,) who previously produced SPARKS, Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s directorial debut.

Megan Freels, who is also Elmore Leonard’s granddaughter, wrote THE HIGHLANDS. She is also a screenwriter.

The project is raising part of their funding on KICKSTARTER in order to shoot this summer and avoid future scheduling conflicts. You can donate to their film by going to the website. Depending on your pledge, you can really get involved in this film.

Kickstarter is giving filmmakers a chance to avoid the difficult channels of film finance and let the movie lovers be part of it.

You can see THE HIGHLANDS pledge page and give a donation at the website below.
